The poem, High Flight, is one of the most beloved

The sonnet `High Flight,' written by John Gillespie Magee, a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War, stated to his parents on the back of an envelope before he died, `I am enclosing a verse I wrote the other day. It started at 30,000 feet, and was finished soon after I landed.'The verse he penned while in-flight has come to be known as the pilots creed and it's one of those things that inspires pilot to dream and be the best.
