It’s Resurrection Day!

As I was sitting here today writing an email a concept began to rise in my heart…

Easter is a time of new beginnings, a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of God’s dream. It is a time to reflect on the power of hope and for most of the world, the possibility of redemption.

And it is so much more than that…

This Easter, we have the opportunity to view the resurrection of God’s dreams in each of us, dreams that may have died due to the last 10 years of hardship and delay.

The past decade has been marked by a global economic crisis, political turmoil, social unrest, and a pandemic that has affected the lives of people worldwide. For many, the last 10 years have been a time of struggle and hardship, causing them to lose faith in their dreams and aspirations. It is easy to become discouraged when our plans do not come to fruition, and it may seem like our goals and ambitions have died.

However, just as Easter represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of God’s dream, my sense is that this Easter is particularly special. We can view this Easter as a time of renewal and rebirth. We can use this time to reflect on our lives and evaluate the dreams and aspirations that we may have put aside due to the challenges of the past decade.

We have been in a season of refinement…in the refiner’s fire if you will to prepare us. Just as a vessel goes through the final firing to bake the glaze into the clay vessels that will sit on King’s tables, these last 10 years have baked the glaze in many of us…

It’s my sense this now is the time that God will resurrect those dreams He has put in your heart and bring them to life once again with a new power, His power, instead of the old nature strength we tried to carry them with previously.

The symbolism of Easter is a powerful reminder that new beginnings are possible, no matter how difficult the past may have been. Just as Jesus rose from the dead, we too are about to rise from the challenges that we have faced in the past decade.

Let us use this time to further consecrate our hearts to deep abiding obedient intimacy to the Father and leave the grave of sin and past habits, and old nature thinking… and ask the Father how He desires us to take this new dawn to recommit to His goals and aspirations, knowing that with faith and perseverance, we can see them come to pass.

As we celebrate Easter this year, let us reflect on the resurrection of God’s dreams in each of us. Let us remember that our dreams are His and that those aspirations are still alive and that He has filled us with Himself and given us HIS power to bring them to fruition.

Let us have faith that, with the support of God and our loved ones, He can manifest His dream & goals and create a brighter future for all the world to enjoy.

So let us rejoice and embrace both the risen Lord in who we have placed our trust and who has given us His life to live now in the earth, with His power, love, wisdom, strength, and authority, as well as the symbolism of Easter as a time of renewal and rebirth.

Let us view this Easter as a time for Him to resurrect the dreams that may have died due to the challenges of the past decade.

With faith and perseverance, and surrendering to God’s power that rose Jesus from the dead, likewise, He will use that same power and resurrect those dead dreams to make those dreams a reality and fulfill God’s dream for our lives.

Happy Resurrection Day (Easter)!
